How to Choose the Dental Assistant Training Program
When you are selecting your dental assistant training program, do ensure that it is CODA or the Commission on Dental Accreditation approved. If it is an accredited program, then the education quality is guaranteed. Plus, you can also get the CDA or the Certified Dental Assistant certification once you have completed your dental assistant training and passed the exam. In some states of the US, it is mandatory to be certified before you can begin to practice. This means that, in these states, you cannot get a job without the certification.
There are no particular entry requirements in most programs. Just a high school diploma or something equivalent will do. However there are some schools that requite a background in science and computer.
